World Kindness Day 2026: Turn a Child’s Artwork into a Kindness Card

· Stewart McKee

World Kindness Day takes place on Friday, 13 November 2026, offering families a timely reason to show children that even a small thoughtful act can brighten somebody’s day. One simple activity is to invite a child to draw a picture for someone who may appreciate an unexpected message—perhaps a friend, teacher, neighbour, relative or community volunteer.

The most meaningful kindness cards do not need to look polished. A hand-drawn rainbow, a favourite animal or a cheerful family portrait can feel far more personal than a conventional greeting, especially when accompanied by the child’s own words. Asking why they chose that person and what might make them smile also turns the creative activity into a gentle conversation about empathy and noticing others.

With uniq.cards, that original artwork can become a personalised card that preserves the character of the drawing while making it easy to share. Add the child’s name, the date and a short message such as “Thank you for being kind” or “I made this to make you smile.” For World Kindness Day 2026, the result is more than a craft project: it is a practical act of kindness and a keepsake the recipient can treasure.
